Meet The Training Team

CEO/Trainer, Glenn Turner

Glenn brings over 30 years of experience in New Zealand’s freight forwarding and customs industry. A CBAFF member since 1996 and current CEO of Sneddens Global Logistics, Glenn has been delivering industry training since 2008 and has worked with IVS since 2011.

Glenn also sits on several education-related committees. He specialises in Customs UUI, Biosecurity (MPI regulations), Dangerous Goods, Manual Handling, INCOTERMS, Health & Safety and International Freight Forwarding. Glenn has helped develop NZQA qualifications and mentored multiple CBAFF Young Achiever Award winners. His practical expertise and deep industry relationships make him a trusted leader and trainer within the sector.

Trainer, Joe Crawley

Joe brings over 30 years of industry experience, with a background spanning warehousing, logistics, and supermarket operations since 1990. Having worked across high-volume and fast-paced environments, Joe understands the real-world pressures teams face on the floor. He has been delivering certified training for over 10 years, specialising in: Forklift Operator Certification & F Endorsement, Manual Handling & Workplace Safety, Dangerous Goods (Land, Sea, Warehouse & Air).

Joe is an NZQA-approved assessor and is also one of only three IATA-certified instructors in New Zealand, providing advanced capability in regulated transport training. Fluent in both English and Samoan, Joe is able to deliver clear instruction across culturally diverse workplaces, ensuring safety requirements are fully understood and applied in practice. His training style is practical, structured, and focused on building long-term safe habits, not just issuing certificates.

Trainer, Gary Chapman

Gary brings over 25 years of experience delivering first aid training across a range of workplace environments. An NZQA-approved assessor, his practical, no-nonsense approach ensures participants leave with the confidence and skills to respond when it counts.

Trainer, Rachael O'Connor

Rachael is an NZQA-approved assessor specialising in first aid and mental health training, bringing hands-on experience from her time with St John. Her background gives her a grounded, real-world perspective on workplace wellbeing and emergency response.
