This single-day course is tailored towards people who require the relevant tools and knowledge to conduct preparation, handling and unloading tasks related to moving dangerous goods by sea via the internationally recognised IMDG standards of best practice. Participants can also access their organisations’ best practice methods as taught onsite by our staff, who tailor the course towards relevant company-specific procedures in relation to handling and storing dangerous goods for maritime transportation.

IMDG-compliant training providers are available to aid in queries participants may have related to the course, guiding participants in the safe practice of tasks related to maritime transport of dangerous goods cargo. This course can also be adapted to onsite specific scenarios tailored to your workplace.
To be issued the certificate, participants must complete the theory-based assessment completed during the training session assessing participant knowledge [M|S6] against the IMDG code. Assessors must confirm the participants’ ability to demonstrate the correct demonstration of best practice within the given context. The assessment is accounted for within the course day.
Onsite callouts for Dangerous Goods: Sea Transport sessions start at $340 per person with a minimum charge for 6 people. Should no local trainers be available, additional call fees may be applied to locations outside of Auckland as a means of covering trainer transport costs and/or for weekend sessions nationwide. Group sizes have no minimum attendance but are capped at 15 attendees, for larger groups, arrangements can be made to accommodate your company’s needs upon request.
